Hon. Chad N. Pfister is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia with a Bachelor of Arts Degree with honors in Political Science.
He graduated Cum Laude from Valparaiso University School of Law in 2006. While at Valparaiso he was involved in the Sports Law Clinic representing college and amateur athletes in a variety of areas.
While in law school, Judge Pfister was elected the 27th National President of Beta Sigma Psi National Lutheran Fraternity and was reelected to two additional terms. During his time as National President he re-invigorated the Fraternity and helped it gain a more solid financial and organizational footing.
Judge Pfister previously worked at the University of Missouri-Columbia as a Project Specialist to the Vice Chancellor of Administrative Services where he worked closely with the heads of university departments in implementing plans, programs and policies to improve operations in a variety of areas. Judge Pfister was an integral part in revamping the MU’s Emergency Operations Plan in response to the incidents at Virginia Tech and Northern Illinois
Upon leaving Mizzou, he went into private practice where he handled a large variety of cases, including arguing in front of the Western District of the Missouri Court of Appeals. When not involved in litigation his practice focused on estate planning, business planning and municipal law.
Judge Pfister is a member of the Missouri Bar, the American Judges Association, the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges, the National College of Probate Judges, the Missouri Association of Probate and Associate Circuit Judges, and the Warrensburg Noon Rotary Club. Judge Pfister currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Missouri Judicial Conference and the Missouri Bar Legislative Committee. He is a past President of the Johnson County, Missouri Bar Association and is the Cubmaster of Cub Scout Pack 399 in Warrensburg, Missouri.
Judge Pfister is a frequent presenter and speaker on numerous topics.
Judge Pfister resides in Warrensburg, Missouri with his wife and two children. His hobbies include golfing, running, soccer, home brewing and spending time with his family.
